Akoya and river shell buttons are considered to the least expensive ones.
Our company only uses those left-over, empty, non-protected and artificially-cultured shells as our raw materials.

As a responsible corporate citizen in the business community, we only purchase those woods grown on plantations or managed forest. The woods and plants we used in the button manufacturing include acacia, ashwood, bamboo, beechwood, boxwood, coconut, cork, corozo nut, driftwood, ebony wood, maplewood, oakwood, olivewood, rosewood, zebrawood and so forth.

Materials from animal usually include horn, leather and bone. As a recycling product, horns from cattle, buffalo or ram, collected from the abattoirs, are widely used for making buttons. The variety of animal skins and the way in which they are processed can produce leather as soft as cloth and as hard as a shoe sole or button. Usually made from cattle, bone button can be used as underwear and trouser button.
Casein button is made from a substance derived from milk mixed with alkali and formaldehyde. It possesses basically the same chemical/physical nature of plastic; and similar characteristics of horns in consistency, thermal flexibility and malleability.
